Pixel 4 is looking amazing

  • The front bezel is loaded with features
    • It is already moving away from the Pixel 3 notch, this seems to emulate the iPhone X design
  • And it contains
    • Front unlock IR camera
    • Front facing camera
      • The dual front facing cameras with one having a wide angle is missing from the Pixel 3
    • Ambient light/proximity sensor
    • Speaker
    • Soli Radar chip
    • Face unlock dot projector
    • Face unlock IR camera
    • Face unlock Flood Illuminator
  • Some of these, like the dot projector, are going to yield similar results to the iPhone X with face id
    • the addition of the radar chip makes gestures which do not contact the phone at all, possible
    • One piece of media Google has released has a person skipping songs by waving past the phone.
  • I have not seen anything on the outer facing cameras
    • But with Google’s history of photo quality in the last Pixel models, I’m sure it will have amazing results.

  • The new vehicles aim to be better than helicopters, which are expensive to maintain, noisy to fly and require trained pilots.
  • A flying car by Japanese startup Cartivator proved unsuccessful after it crashed during a demonstration in 2017
    • Company bosses say they have since developed their technology so their machines can last longer.
    • NEC is one of more than 80 companies sponsoring Cartivator’s flying car.
  • Officials say the machine is designed for unmanned flights for deliveries
    • but flying cars could also be used in disaster relief operations.
  • Uber is also launching its own version of the technology
    • Called Uber Air in the US and plans to start demonstrator flights in 2020 and commercial operations in 2023.

  • They are making a 7 inch Space Marine Primaris action figure
    • Prototypes shown so far are the classic, unpainted mini grey
      • But an industry insider claims they will be highly posable figures and pre-painted.

    • Have not seen sprues or packaging, so it is not clear if it is a model kit or not yet

Review Enter The Anime

  • Alex Burunova is tasked by Netflix to see what the essence of anime is
  • It covers a bunch of anime creators and shows
  • interesting behind the scenes looks
  • Unfortunately, it has too many edits with glitch effects and crazy angle changes that made it too busy
    • Seems like it was made for people who don’t like documentaries

Welcome to the first and last Buttcast!

Alan asks us, why don’t the Zords fight individually? Because forming a single entity seems to be counter productive. Then we all go on about the 90’s cartoons we remember. And complain about discmans, and other old portable music devices.

We shamelessly compliment Alan on his editing on our game play videos.

“He is doing an awesome job, best decision I ever made was getting Alan to edit our gameplay” – Josh

And hey, we talk about getting the site working! That’s awesome. Mike then wonders what the hell is wrong with Triple A gaming. And some open world games are just too big.

And we plug Soylent more! Could you sponsor us? Please Soylent! Any Soylent representative, refer to minute 24 for the start of Soylent-Cast.

We make plans to Twitch stream more! Also, chat about XWing mods and gameplay. We drift into Firestorm Armada and Halo Fleet Battles, fleet battle miniatures games. And we end the podcast by breaking down to Warhammer 40k.
